I Need A Manicure, OR Do I?

I think I need a manicure, or I at least need to trim one of my nails. Do you remember the pimp in Taxi Driver? Harvey Keitel played the role to perfection and there has always been one scene with him in it I’ll never forget and that was when he snorted coke from his little finger fingernail that was grown ridiculously long and painted red.

That’s about how long the nails on my hands are and while I like having long, pretty nails, I do not have the need to use them as a coke spoon and even if I did I wouldn’t be able to keep the one on my left hand any longer. LOL Every time I go to hit the Shift key, because that nail is so long, I end up hitting the CapsLk key instead and then when I start typing again I have to stop and go back and shut it off and start over, so as soon as I finish typing this I’m going to go and find the clippers, and Adios little fingernail.
Aren’t you glad you took the time to read this?

  1. Oh, the travails of First World Living!

As for fingernails. . . I share with my eldest sister the characteristic nails (ridges, tend toward cracking, chipping) we both seem to have inherited from our maternal great grandmother (yeh, when I was a tadpole, I used to sit and stare at her hands as she trimmed her nails with a pocket knife–fascinating). As a result, I keep my nails (hands and toes) trimmed very short using a Swiss Army Knife, but not with a blade but with the scissors.
